“Assess the existing space, suggest multiple options for furniture layouts, create a finish palette conducive to attracting and retaining a rapidly growing workforce, procure all furniture and install on an accelerated timeline”. These were the directives KDI received from their long-standing client ALDI pertaining to a 100,000 SF leased space in Naperville. Two expansive floors offered ALDI the space to accommodate multiple departments, and through KDI’s creative use of flexible style workstations, and incorporation of collaborative areas, the spatial needs were finely dressed with crisp white finishes highlighted by splashes of vibrant color. Embracing and enhancing existing building finishes was a challenge, but as seen here, KDI was able to blend old and new flawlessly. Existing etched glass doors were replicated with custom-designed window film.
